BRISTOL, Tenn. (May 16, 2009)- R2B2 teammates Roger Burgess and Raymond Commisso both advanced in the first elimination round of the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. After qualifying number six, Commisso beat Danny Rowe to advance to second round eliminations. Commisso will face current front-runner Mike Castellana in second round eliminations. "Castellana is a fierce competitor, but you have to race the best to be the best. You have got to beat the best to be the best, and I think we're up for the challenge," Commisso said Roger Burgess qualified number nine and advanced to round two after a hole-shot win over Jay Payne in the first round of eliminations Saturday afternoon. This is the second hole-shot win for Burgess in the past two weeks. "Payne was a little bit late and I was a little bit early. He is a fantastic driver. I have raced him six times and today was the first time I've beaten him," Burgess said. The teammates have their work cut out for them in order to advance past the second round of eliminations. Burgess will take on the number three qualifier Tim Tindle and Commisso will square off against number one qualifier and current points leader Mike Castellana. ### |
