| Baker Makes Early Exit in Bristol First Round |

BRISTOL, Tenn. (May 16, 2009)- Matco Tools/Lend America driver Joe Baker's weekend at Bristol ended in first round eliminations in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx after taking the No.11 qualifying spot. Baker's car had an oil filter collapse after the first round on Friday, causing him to miss the second session Friday evening. The crew installed a new engine and had high hopes going into Saturday's final qualifier and first round eliminations, but were disappointed in the end. Baker smoked his tires in the third qualifier, and had to click it off and settle for a 6.252/236.38. Baker said, "It's hot. It's sticky and were going to have to cut back on the power going into the first elimination round." Baker smoked his tires against Brad Personett in round one, ending his hopes at taking home the Warrior trophy and moving up in the points chase. "Of course it's frustrating, but I feel blessed to be out here doing what I love and next week is another week. We'll work on the car, work out some mechanical issues, and be ready to race come Topeka," Baker said.
