Tindle Advances with Career Best E.T.
Tim_Tindle2After fighting a 4-week gremlin in his GT500 Ford Mustang, Tim Tindle and the Tindle Racing Team are making progress and gaining ground at the NHRA Virginia Nationals. Tindle qualified in the top half of the field with a 5.93, 240 mph and defeated Mike Castellana in the opening round of the Get Screened America Promod Challenge, presented by ProCare RX.

In the closest race of Round #1, Tindle delivered a career best 5.905, 240.42 mph to take down Castellana's record breaking 5.919, 240.17 mph nitrous pass.

"We are finally making progress," Tindle said with relief.  We have been fighting an electrical bug for the past 4 races and it feels good to finally get this hotrod back under control."

"We need a "W" for tomorrow.  Winning the second round tomorrow could determine if we remain in the top 8 for the Matco Tools Promod Clash.  Stivers will not be an easy task, but we are on track to run 80's tomorrow."

Tindle is currently in the No.8 position and is looking to advance in points and compete for a $25,000 top prize that will be contested at the Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, October 29-November 1.

In round-two action scheduled for Sunday afternoon, teammates Commisso and Melanie Troxel face off for bragging rights, while Stivers will race Tim Tindle with the possibility of jumping ahead of him in the standings and into the Matco Clash. Baker and Rowe will go head to head and Roger Burgess will attempt to pass Auxier in the points standings by taking on former World Champion Jay Payne.
