LAS VEGAS (October 29, 2009) - Mike Knowles has had his '63 "Blown Money" Corvette Pro Mod on display at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino since Tuesday, but the Colorado businessman is anxious to get his car out to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and get ready for the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals.

"We've had a lot of great responses from fans at the hotel, and the management has really liked having it there, too," Knowles said.  "I'm always up for doing what I can to help our series, because I really think this is the very best place to be racing, and I just want to do what I can to help.

Knowles' Corvette features legal tender $100 bills in the paint scheme along with billowing flames and the theme "Blown Money."

"It really fits for Vegas. Sometimes it really is blown money - especially when we're not running good," he laughed. "Fortunately, we've been picking things up and we're running good coming into this event."

"This weekend will be a great end to the season. The competition has been the best I've ever seen - all season long. With as many records and the tight competition we've all had, I know this event will be just the same," Knowles said.

Qualifying is scheduled for 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. Friday and 11:00 a.m. Saturday.  Eliminations are scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
