Rowe earns quarterfinal finish;remains third

rowe-charlotte(9-21-2009) CONCORD, North Carolina - After once again qualifying in the top half of the 16-car Pro Modified field, comfortably nestled into the No. 4 starting position with a 5.941-second blast at 241.15mph, Danny Rowe and the Sterling Bridge '68 Chevy Camaro Pro Modified were paired with Tommy D'Aprile for the opening round of eliminations. By way of a 5.977/242.93 combination, Rowe easily bested D'Aprile's 6.179/201.46, earned top speed for the round, and moved on to the quarterfinals.

Consistency earns Stivers Victory in Charlotte
Rick_StiversCONCORD, N.C. (September 20, 2009) - Rick Stivers, driver of the Trane '06 Pro Mod Stratus, used blistering times and bracket-car consistency to win the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the NHRA Carolinas Nationals at zMax Dragway.

Stivers qualified No. 3 with a 5.940 at 240.85 mph and then ran like a bracket car at 5.927, 5.913, 5.919 and 5.908-seconds to earn his second-ever trip to the Pro Mod Challenge winners circle. In round one, Stivers dispatched Dennis Radford, and then moved on to take out No. 2 in the points Roger Burgess followed by points-leader Burton Auxier.

Personett's consistency pushes him to Round Two in Pro Mod Action

Burgess leads R2B2 Racing in day one at Charlotte

(September 18, 2009) - Roger Burgess' 5.959-second pass at 241.89 mph led the R2B2 Racing team in day one action in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the NHRA Carolinas Nationals. Melanie Troxel is in the provisional seventh place wile Raymond Commisso struggled with car issues and landed 18th.

Stivers right on track with provisional No. 4

CONCORD, N.C. (September 18, 2009) -
Rick Stivers, driver of the Trane 2006 Stratus Pro Mod in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge, landed in the provisional No. 4 spot in the NHRA Carolinas Nationals on Friday.

His run of 5.957 at 240.59 mph is the quickest he has been since his comeback from his accident at St. Louis and was a "shot in the arm" for the Kentucky driver.

Mike Knowles provisional No. 3 after day one in Charlotte

- Mike Knowles had a huge smile on his face as he came back into the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge pits after running a 5.945 at 241.93 mph to take the provisional No. 3 spot in the NHRA Carolinas Nationals at zMax Dragway.

His run assured him of a solid qualifying position heading into eliminations, as well as making a statement that the Knowles Enterprises '63 Corvette is ready to take on the field. His first pass was a 6.294 at 234.00 mph, the 13th-best of the first qualifying round.
